Collector Commissions
A Collector Commission begins with your space, your vision, and the way you want to experience original artwork every day. During our initial conversations, we'll discuss the size, orientation, color palette, and overall atmosphere you'd like the finished piece to create. Those conversations provide the framework while leaving room for creativity to flourish.
Rather than recreating an existing painting, every Collector Commission is an original composition designed specifically for you. It reflects the same process, materials, and artistic voice found throughout my studio work while responding thoughtfully to your preferences and environment. The result is a painting that feels both personal and unmistakably original.
Bespoke Commissions
Every Bespoke Commission begins with a conversation. Before a single mark is made, I spend time learning about the people, relationships, memories, milestones, places, and experiences that make your story uniquely yours. These conversations become the creative foundation for the artwork. Rather than illustrating those memories literally, I translate them into an abstract visual language through color, texture, typography, maps, symbolic imagery, meaningful patterns, and other carefully considered details.
Some references are immediately recognizable; others remain quiet discoveries—subtle "easter eggs" that carry meaning known only to the collector and those closest to them. This layered approach allows the artwork to be appreciated on multiple levels: as a compelling abstract composition by anyone who encounters it, and as a deeply personal narrative by those who understand its hidden language celebrating a family, honoring a business, or capturing a lifetime of memories, each piece becomes both an original work of art and a lasting visual legacy.
I liked the way the colors, boldness and whimsicalness of Vibrations made me feel when I saw the painting at Tina’s show, I had to buy it. I installed the painting in my office and knew I needed to add to the space. What started with 1 painting, Vibrations, evolved into a gallery wall with 5 of Tina’s original works. This space in my office is an homage to my late wife, viewing it brings me peace – I zen out!
Working with Tina on the commission was a great experience and easy! I discussed my thoughts on expanding my gallery wall, with Vibrations as the center piece. She suggested that I contrast the energy and boldness of the painting with more minimalistic work, and I loved that idea. Tina sent me mock-ups, we discussed what resonated with me, colors and sizing, then she created a series of new pieces for me to select. The minimalist paintings Tina created are a perfect complement and contrast to Vibrations.
